For more than 20 years, St. Joseph Shamrock has brought school families, staff, parishioners and community members together to celebrate and support St. Joseph School.
Join us starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Radisson Cedar Rapids on Saturday, April 6. The evening will include heavy hors d'oeuvres and drinks, casino games, live music, live and silent auctions, a game of heads-or-tails and the 50/50 raffle.
The event is as much a community builder as it is a fundraiser. All are welcome!

This year marks the 24th anniversary of Shamrock! Since its inception, Shamrock has raised over $500,000 for St. Joseph Catholic School.
In recent years, Shamrock proceeds have provided funding for gym renovations, technology upgrades, new windows and carpet, as well as supported field trips and school activities. This year the funds will go towards building a brand new playground that all students in the school can use. It is truly because of the generosity of our parishioners, neighbors, school associates and families and the business community that Shamrock is such a success. And that success translates directly into success for the children at our school!
Casino Games- Blackjack and Craps
- Left, Center, Right and Chuck-a-Luck
- You’ll receive a cup of chips with your reservation that can be used at any of the casino games.
- When casino games end at 8:30 p.m., the top two chip holders will receive a prize. All chips carry no cash value.
Auction Categories- Live Auction - Featuring classroom baskets and higher-value items that will be auctioned off in-person by a licensed auctioneer.
- Silent Auction - A variety of items up for bid, the highest bidder when the auction closes wins the item. Bidding is not limited to those attending the in-person event. If you’re the top bidder when the auction closes at 9:00 p.m., the item is yours.
- Fixed Bid Items - Items that are available for a pre-determined number of people at a fixed price.
Silent Auction Rules- All bids must be entered on the 32auctions website.
- You may bid on as many items as you wish, and as many times as you wish until the auction closes at 9:00 p.m.
- Bids entered via the 32auctions website constitute a valid and binding bid.
Live Auction Rules- Items are auctioned in the order listed unless otherwise noted.
- Bid by raising your hand.
- Decisions of the Auctioneer are final.
General Auction Rules- St. Joseph School and the 2024 Shamrock Committee warrant neither the quality nor value of items auctioned. All items are sold in “As Is” condition.
- Dollar values are estimates often provided by the donor and are not warranted by the 2024 Shamrock Committee or donors for tax purposes or market value.
- Please be aware of expiration dates on all gift certificates.
- All sales are final. No exchanges or refunds.
- ALL ITEMS MUST BE REMOVED AT THE CLOSE OF AUCTION ON SATURDAY, APRIL 6 UNLESS OTHER ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE.

Purchase a commemorative Shamrock beer or wine tumbler for $30 in advance and $35 the night of the event. Enjoy free Blue Moon and Coors Light until the kegs run dry or house wine. Either beverage may be consumed from either glass.Playground Sponsorship
Help support the development of our new school playground by purchasing a piece of the playground puzzle for $50. Each piece contributes to the bigger picture, and with your participation, we can complete the playground together. Find the playground puzzle pieces on tables throughout the event, purchase a piece or more by scanning the QR code and adding it to your 32auctions purchases, and then place it on the playground puzzle displayed by the checkout area. Your contribution will directly impact the enjoyment and growth of our students for years to come. Let’s build a brighter future, one piece at a time!Heads-or-Tails
We’ll play one game of Heads-or-Tails during the event. For $20 per person, good intuition is all you need. Here’s how: All players stand and indicate their choice of heads or tails by placing their hands on their head or “tail”. The host will flip a coin. Those players that guessed correctly will remain standing and those that were incorrect will sit down. If you sat down, don’t go far…you may just have an opportunity to get back in the game for another $20. One winner will take home a Cedar Ridge Winery & Distillery gift card.
50/50 Raffle
Did you purchase your 50/50 Raffle tickets? You can purchase them up until the time of the drawing on April 6. The winner of the drawing gets half of the total raffle money collected, the other half goes to St. Joseph Catholic School. So the more tickets you buy, the bigger the cash prize! Tickets are $25 each. Need not be present to win.
