Charger Challenge!
After six years it finally happened--rain on Charger Challenge Day! Every year we anticipate and cross our fingers that it won't rain. The big question always is: What are we going to do if it rains? Well, this year we finally found out. Yesterday morning we made our contingency plans and made the decision to move everything inside. I have to tell you, it worked out great! It was also a real treat to see so many of our former students in the building! Several current members of the junior class who are members of the varsity football team at Xavier stopped by to help out. We wish them good luck tonight as they take on Wahlert in Dubuque. It was also nice to have several members of the cheerleading squad join us along with the Xavier mascot "Bernie".
The students had a wonderful time with all the games and we enjoyed the company of many parent volunteers. We couldn't have done it without your support. I would also like to express deep gratitude for the hard work that Tina Berning put into making this event a success.
